Mac Potts is a 21 year old blind pianist/musician who is already a veteran of stages from the Northwest to New Orleans.  Mac first learned his blues chops from D.K. Stewart, and has studied with Janice Scroggins. In addition to keyboards, Mac plays saxophone, drums, percussion, and harmonica.  He has been playing professionally since the age of 11.

Mac has travelled to New Orleans each of the last seven years for Jazz Fest.  He enjoys the culture, atmosphere, and the variety of music in the Crescent City, and likes to jam in clubs until dawn.  He has played with Charmaine Neville, Marcia Ball, Dr. John, Henry Butler, Mitch Woods, the Storyville Stompers and Harry Connick Jr. plus many young upcoming musicians, including traditional New Orleans brass bands.

Mac has taken part in the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival for the last 7 years where he has performed solo, duo, with blues bands, and with local and national artists.  He is a crowd favorite for his virtuoso skills.  He currently has a steady gig at the Portland Oregon prestigious Portland City Grill weekly on Saturday and Sunday and is a frequent guest in Washington’s wine country in Chelan.
